2008 Lakes, Loons and Legends Fest welcomes back World Champion Loggers in competitive logging events, Chainsaw sculpting exhibitions and more for our State Sesquicentennial year…

Lakes, Loons & Legends Fest, Friday & Saturday, August 8 & 9, 2008

The 2008 Lakes, Loons and Legends Fest organizers will bring World record holding lumberjacks and lumberjills to Park Rapids. The legendary Park Rapids "Logging Days" competition is back plus Master Chain saw carvers will make masterpieces before awed onlookers during the two day event.
Logging is part of Park Rapids' heritage. The legendary Logging Days Competition was an annual Park Rapids signature event for 30 years. It's back bigger and better in 2008. This year 15 to 25 World Champion and World Record Breaking Lumberjacks and Lumberjills will once again compete in Park Rapids. Points earned in the Park Rapids Competition will count towards the World Championship held each year in Hayward Wisconsin.

"We are taking the best from the past and adding new and exciting events this year!" said Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber Director Katie Magozzi.

Main Events will take place at the
Red Bridge Park.

Lakes, Loons and Legends Event & Raffle Buttons will be available for $5.00 and will give admission to the two day event.
