Huntersville

Huntersville State Forest Campground, located on the Crow Wing River, is a camper's paradise and a must stop for canoeists. The Shell River enters the Crow Wing River from the west near Huntersville. In this mostly undeveloped river corridor, the shoreline is heavily wooded, giving observant canoeists the chance to see a variety of wildlife. The consistent flow and good water quality in this part of the river also contribute to a stable fish population. The Huntersville area also is renowned for hunting.
